Then again, every local system is a system open to international and domestic flows, fluctuations in the global economic system, the tourism market and political choices reflected in the choice of tourist destination. The underlying reason, more specifically, not to forget, especially on the level of the administrative organization of the city’s policies, that tourism is increasingly being placed in a position of primacy on the level of the relationships established between visitors on the one hand, and the local population on the other, both last but not least, on the level of relationships and impact towards the natural environment and the ecosystem in which we live. This ultimately means always being clear about the fact that tourism is capable of influencing both vertical relationships with the ecosystem, from the consumption of natural resources to the production of waste and pollution, and horizontal relationships with the socioeconomic system, that is, relationships between businesses, public institutions, residents and guests. V. “CRITICCITY” OF DIGITAL HERITAGE When dealing, as in this case, with the issue concerning the interrelationships between the city of the future, clothed with all its technological infrastructure, and tourism in a contemporary key, one cannot avoid at least introducing into the analysis the important tourism frontier concerning the so-called digital heritage.45 While it is not the main purpose of this paper to analyze the obstacles and benefits of such a cultural option, it remains, however, useful to point out how the subject in question fits right into the broader tenor of the chosen topic being heritage tourism a constant of the tourist experience destined to intensify as soon as the typical opportunity of certain social cohesion policies46 to make it possible even remotely is considered. 45 W.
