V. CONCLUSIONS Although it entered into force an year ago approximately, the Law for the establishment and operation of local gastronomic points and the measures taken by the authorities based on it were already producing beneficial effects, which give hope for an even greater development of tourism in Romania through the multiplication and development of local gastronomic points. Until the middle of 2024, over 440 PGLs were already registered in the National Register of Local Gastronomic Points in Romania. Local Gastronomic Points can make a significant contribution to local and national economic development by: - Capitalizing on local resources - Creating jobs - Diversification of the rural economy - Etc. In addition, increasing interest in Local Gastronomic Points can stimulate investment in local infrastructure (roads, tourist facilities and other public services). REFERENCES 1.
