To consolidate the model, the following strategic actions are proposed: • Develop a national framework law on Turismo DOP to harmonise standards and regulations; • Create monitoring systems to evaluate economic, social, and environmental impacts; • Promote interdisciplinary training for professionals managing GI‑related tourism; • Support scientific research to deepen the links among tourism, culture, and sustainability. In perspective, Turismo DOP can constitute a cultural infrastructure of the Made in Italy system, uniting protection, innovation, and sustainable growth. It embodies an identity‑driven, conscious, and responsible tourism that valorises landscapes, knowledge, and communities as common resources for the future.
