Awarded catering establishments should post up the Greek Cuisine Quality Label in a prominent position of the business, on its websites and social media. The logo of the Label should appear on the top of the Greek-local cuisine menu of the business awarded or next to the Greek dishes on offer (Μυλωνόπουλος, 2021: 193). The staff of the catering establishments awarded with the Label should be appropriately trained so that they can adequately present and promote the Greek cuisine dishes and the Greek wines and distillates included in the restaurant’s menu. For the period 2016-2022 118 Greek Cuisine Quality Labels were awarded in total (Υπουργείο Τουρισμού, 2022). From 2016 to 2019 there was a moderate demand for the Label, however, the number of Labels awarded plummeted due to the coronavirus pandemic and the restaurants’ obligatory full lockdown for an extended period of time (Table 1.).
