The Local Gastronomic Point represents an efficient way of capitalizing on the products of the peasant household in family-type public catering units, taking into account the specifics of each tourist area/region with known gastronomic traditions. Therefore, the Romanian Parliament, in accordance with the provisions of the ”Romanian National Strategy for the Development of Tourism 2024-2035”, adopted a Law for the establishment and operation of Local Gastronomic Points (PGL), on which we make a brief analysis in our present article. Keywords: Gastronomy law, Food law, Local Gastronomic Points. I. INTRODUCTION As is well known, tourism has become one of the fastest growing sectors of the world economy. On the other hand, current tourism is closely related to the process of socioeconomic development and offers an increasing number of new destinations, and Romania is making efforts to be more and more present in the tourist international offers. At the same time, Romania has in mind what any tourist destination has, whether we refer to the country, region, city or village level, namely attracting as many tourists as possible, who spend as much money as possible in the respective destination.
