Future Perspectives for Argentina’s Gastronomic Regulatory Framework Looking ahead, Argentina’s gastronomic regulatory framework faces the challenge of becoming simpler, more accessible, coherent, and inclusive. This entails: • Full digitalization of licensing and oversight procedures • The implementation of integrated systems across government levels • Continuous regulatory updates to incorporate new commercial models • The strengthening of public policies that support compliance through incentives, training, and technical assistance A modern, participatory, and development-oriented regulatory approach could provide the foundation for a more competitive, professional, and socially responsible national gastronomy sector. The analysis of the legal framework governing gastronomic businesses in Argentina leads to the conclusion that it is a comprehensive, detailed, and evolving system. Although complex, this framework plays an essential role in ensuring proper sanitary conditions, fair commercial practices, protected labor environments, and balanced consumer relationships. Key findings of this work include: • The coexistence of national and local regulations as a structural feature of Argentina’s federal system, which represents both regulatory richness and a source of potential conflict and overlap. • The Autonomous City of Buenos Aires stands out as a regulatory benchmark, with an advanced yet demanding legal framework that could be adapted or contrasted in other jurisdictions. • The most frequently applied regulations in the gastronomic field relate to venue licensing, food hygiene and safety, and labor conditions.
