a group of producers or manufacturers who are engaged in the composition, production or processing of the product. A similar position is observed in the EU standard, which indicates that they can only be presented by a group of requesting producers, which can be an association regardless of its legal form or also a single producer; and given its global scope, they can be groups from different Member States or third States. The regulations on TSGs in the EU, Ecuador and Peru focus mainly on agricultural and food products (Peru only on food products ) that are not linked to specific geographical areas; so much so that if any food product operator outside the geographical area uses traditional raw materials or ingredients as well as the production method and complies with the corresponding specifications, they would be authorized to market a TSG in a market. As can be deduced from the regulations of the EU, Ecuador and Peru, these have a graphic representation as a symbol that distinguishes the product as an TSG in the market; and at the same time to persuade the consumer of the quality of the product, as well as to differentiate it from other similar products belonging to the same category. Table 1 below details a summary of the evaluated and analysed TSG regulations in Peru, Ecuador and the EU. Table 1.
